Hey everyone, I just had to share this super weird moment that happened to me yesterday. So, I was chilling at home in São Paulo, just winding down after some yoga, when I decided to call my cousin Ana to catch up. We’re super close, like sisters almost, and we always chat about random stuff. Anyway, I dial her number, and she picks up, but her voice sounds... off. Like, not her usual bubbly self. I ask if everything’s okay, and she goes, “Aura, why are you calling me at 3 a.m.?” I’m like, what?! I check the time, and it’s literally 8 p.m. my time. Turns out, I totally forgot she’s traveling in Europe right now, and the time difference got me all mixed up. I felt so dumb, lol!
But here’s where it gets weirder. Instead of being annoyed, Ana starts laughing and tells me she was actually awake because she couldn’t sleep due to jet lag. So, we end up talking for like an hour about her trip, the weird food she’s tried, and how she misses my dog, Bento, more than me (rude, right?). It was such a random, unplanned moment, but it felt kinda special, ya know? Like, even with the time mix-up, we just clicked like always. I guess family has a way of making even the weirdest situations feel normal.
It got me thinking about how I’m always messing up time zones, tho. I travel a bit myself, and I swear I’ve done this before with friends too. Maybe I need to set reminders or something, haha. Anyway, I just thought it was a funny little story to share. That’s cool, right? Moments like these remind me how much I value the people in my life, even when I’m being a total goof.
