Next-Level Potion Sorting Ideas?

Post by TechieTom »

Alright, listen up fellow Minecraft nerdz —I've been tinkering with redstone stuff forever, and frankly, I'm getting bored AF with the same ol' piston doors and auto-farms. I mean, cmon dudes, it's 2023! ‍♂️ It's about time we seriously step up our redstone game.

So yesterday, I spent legit 5 HOURS (ffs, I'm not kidding ‍♂️) trying to design an efficient redstone contraption that automatically sorts AND stores potions by type and strength. Something more complex and precise than your average lame sorter. I thought it'd be easy—hahaha, jokes on me . Turns out potions are way trickier than sorting regular items 'cause the damn hopper mechanics keep messing with bottle stacking.

So here's my idea—what if we integrate comparator logic along with a minecart rail system to sort the potions individually based on their signal output strength? Has anyone tried something like this before? I'm legit debating whether this concept is genius-level stuff or if I'm just losing my sanity slowly over this. Mind blown!

Anyway, if any of you hardcore redstone freaks out there have suggestions or better methods—or if you just wanna argue why I'm totally wrong (good luck with that, lol)—hit me with your ideas. But please, spare me the obvious stuff like "just sort by hand dude" or "use item frames," because that defeats the purpose of full automation, duh.

Let's debate this properly—give me your BEST ideas, and let's level up our worlds. Peace out ✌️
